What are Some of the Origins of Audi AG?
Let's be clear, the origins are complex. In fact, they go way back to the early 20th century.
An engineer named August Horch founded the initial enterprises. Then, DKW and Wanderer (two other manufacturers) created the foundation of Auto Union in 1932.
Even so, the modern era of Audi cars as we know it today first began in the 1960s. This was when Volkswagen made the move to acquire Auto Union from Daimler-Benz.
They relaunched the brand with a timely introduction of the Audi F103 series in 1965. Then, in 1969 Volkswagen chose to merge Auto Union with NSU Motorenwerke.
So, what do the four rings of the Audi logo represent? As a matter of fact, each single ring represents one of the car companies that banded together to create Auto Union (Audi's predecessor company).
Audi is also famous for its slogan 'Vorsprung durch Technik'. In simple terms, the watchword means 'Being Ahead through Technology'.
Along with two other renowned German vehicle brands, BMW and Mercedes-Benz, Audi is one of the top sellers of luxury automobiles in the world.

Audi A3 Sportback Gets an Upgrade
The newsroom is always buzzing every time the Audi 4x4 models receive an extensive upgrade. Now, the manufacturers are saying the Audi A3 is sportier than ever and a lot more comfortable.
In addition, it's become more digital. For example, not only does it have applications that you can use in the vehicle display, it also has selectable daytime running light signatures - with an ability to add vehicle functions on-demand.

New Audi RS 6 Avant GT Price Tag: £176,975
There is no doubt that this special edition model series is chockablock with exclusive interior and exterior details. As such, the ultimate RS 6 Avant gets a roof edge spoiler, a redefined diffuser, and 22-inch wheels with six-spoke design.

Modified Design for the Q7 SUV
An upgrade to their flagship family SUV results in a refreshed design and even more enhanced technology. A redesign to the exterior now offers generous space for up to seven (7) passengers along with first-class versatility.
For the first time, the Q7 SUV gets HD Matrix LED headlights with laser as an extra high beam feature. The digital OLED rear lights come with four (4) selectable designs. Further refinements include new wheels and enhanced specifications.
Note: Sales of Audi's enhanced Q7 SUV lineup in the United Kingdom should begin from March 2024 with prices expected to be around £66,605 (OTR).
Audi Safety Recalls
Audi (Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.) is recalling several electric car models due to an increased risk of fire. The safety recall only applies to certain EV vehicles, including the following:
- 2022-2024 (RS e-tron GT, e-tron GT, Q4 e-tron Sportback, Q4 e-tron)
- 2020-2021 (Audi A8)
- 2019-2024 (e-tron Quattro)
- 2020-2024 (e-tron Sportback Quattro, Q5)
- 2021-2022 (A7)
The precautionary issue relates to some home power outlets when using the industrial 220V/240V plug at the 100% charge setting.
It may be incapable of handling the electrical current needed to use the compact charging system. In other words, it may cause overheating in the outlet or charging cable.
Pro Tip: Audi is advising owners not to use the 220V/240V compact/portable charging cable. Instead, they should only use the 110V home charging cable or public charging stations. As a result, Audi dealers will supply a new 220V/240V compact/portable charging cable with an incorporated temperature sensor, free of charge.

Audi Slows Down their EV Rollout
Audi's rollout of electric car models looks set to slow down as consumer enthusiasm wanes and the boss of the Volkswagen-owned brand blames high prices.
He also aims to avoid flooding dealerships and factories with "slow-selling" vehicles until the advantages to UK consumers improve.

An official OBR forecast shows a slowing take-up (almost 50% less) of electric cars being sold in the United Kingdom in the coming years.
In addition, they also revised their previous sales prediction for new battery-powered cars selling by 2027 down to 38% from 67%.
New Audi Hub for Next-Gen EV Tech
Imagine converting 75 hectares of a former refinery into a new home for the development of VW Group software for all future Audi models.
Well, that's what Audi did when they opened incampus Ingolstadt technology park in Germany. The tech hub is now operating under the Cariad division.
The on-site facilities provide a new base for their Vehicle Safety Center. There's also a huge indoor hangar used for their crash testing work.
Plus, Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt, related to automated driving technologies, is also operating at the same hub.
All-Electric Luxury 4x4 Unveiled by Audi
Based on an interview with their head of design, Audi's new tougher 4×4 luxury model could be available in 2027.
If so, it will compete against some very well-known brands, including the:

Audi car makers announced their upcoming off-road concept car. They are calling it the Audi activesphere concept - designed in the United States.
