Nissan Qashqai 4x4 Crossover ReviewNissan Qashqai Crossover

NISSAN QASHQAI REVIEW: The Nissan Qashqai is a great all-rounder in family hatchback models. It also belongs with an envious range of small 4x4 cars and partly because it drives like an SUV should.

The top engineers at Nissan managed to merge the qualities of both vehicle types. In doing so, they produced a comfy and well-rounded 4x4 Crossover.

All Nissan Qashqai Crossover 4x4 models deliver the superior driving experience. They produce low noise levels and the well-built chassis gives a smooth ride.

The critics could argue that the handling is not the sharpest in its class. But, few owners of this small 4x4 SUV will be too disappointed with that.

Perhaps one of the most inviting characteristics about the review of the Qashqai 4x4 was its fuel economy. This is one the most economical of all our 10 best small 4x4 cars in the range. The Nissan Qashqai Crossover easily rivals the greenest of all family-sized cars on the market.

From cheaper options of the front and rear parking sensors, speed sign recognition and front end collision avoidance.

This second generation Qashqai SUV interior has definitely gone upmarket. Gone is the chunky plastic '90s' era replaced by a sleeker shinier design. The front seats are of excellent quality. The increase in the wheelbase also means the rear seats are no longer so cramped.

It may not be the best small 4x4 for internal boot space. But the cargo area is surprisingly large. When the back seats are in the folded position it is an impressive 1585 litres. With two reversible floor panels there are 16 different configurations, including a full flat floor.

The entry level trim has a decent supply of equipment. There are extra luxuries available for other Qashqai models. These can include USB port, DAB and smartphone integration. Higher tech is the 7” touchscreen infotainment system with sat nav. There is also the option to have 17 inch alloy wheels.

Rating the Nissan Qashqai SUVRating the Nissan Qashqai SUV

The Nissan Qashqai 4x4 Crossover is in a class of its own due to its refinement and economy. It has an ease of use for those who are new to small 4x4 cars. Anyone moving to Nissan models from other soft-roaders will appreciate its dynamic breadth of ability.

Both the Mazda CX-5 and the genuine all-rounder Skoda Yeti have much to offer. But they struggle to match the overall appeal and competitiveness of the new generation Qashqai SUV 4x4.
