Is the Leapmotor C10 Electric a Good Car?
The popular Chinese automaker "Leapmotor" first released the C10 in March 2024 in China. However, sales of the mid-size electric SUV came to Europe in September of the same year.
Our review of the Leapmotor C10 5-seater SUV explains how a blend of performance and innovative technologies combine well with affordability for the electric vehicle (EV) segment in the United Kingdom.
Where is the Leapmotor C10 Made?
Leapmotor is one of many Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers. They were first founded in 2015 and their headquarters is based in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province eastern China.
The production and assembly of the Leapmotor C10 mid-size crossover Sport Utility Vehicles (SUV) takes place in China. Thus, it is currently imported into Europe and incurs a 21% import tax.
But...
After partnering with Stellantis, Leapmotor International designs the C10 family SUV and T03 electric city car for global markets. The China EV car manufacturer started producing the T03 in southern Poland (Tychy city) in June 2024.
Performance and Range of the C10
The 2025 C10 is equipped with a 160 kW (approximating to 218 horsepower) permanent magnet synchronous motor.
It is capable of delivering 320 Nm of torque (about 236 ft/lb) and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in about 7.5 seconds.
The battery capacity is 69.9 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP).
Put another way:
It provides a range of up to 263 miles (424 kilometres) WLTP or 296 miles (477 kilometres) according to the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) regional testing standards.
Charging options include a 6.6 kW AC charger or an 84 kW DC fast-charging system (30% to 80% takes about 30 minutes).

C10 Lineup Design and Dimensions
The Leapmotor C10 D-segment SUV is 473 centimetres long, 190 centimetres wide, and 168 centimetres high. A wheelbase of 282 centimetres compliments the 180 mm ride height.
As a consequence of that, it ranks with some of the best cars with high ground clearance in the United Kingdom.
Other highlights to appreciate on the outside include the distinctive LED headlamps, a panoramic sunroof, privacy glass, and 20-inch alloy wheels.
Leapmotor's C10 family SUV 2025 model is available with five (5) exterior paint colour options, including:
- Canopy Grey
- Glazed Green
- Metallic Black
- Pearly White
- Tundra Grey
Furthermore, colour options for the interior include Criollo Brown and Midnight Aurora. Folding the rear seats also expands the boot capacity from 435 liters to 1,410 liters.
Interior Features and Key Technology
Being built on the Leap 3.0 architecture means the C10 integrates a range of advanced technologies. For example, Cell-To-Chassis (CTC) 2.0 battery technology enhances space and overall safety.
The spacious interior cabin contains a 14.6-inch infotainment touch screen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster panel, and premium materials (e.g. silicone leather OEKO-TEX® seats).
A Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip powers the infotainment system.

The high-end specification creates an intuitive user experience with features like:
- Electric foot activated tailgate
- 12 speaker surrounding hi-fi system
- Voice interaction for navigation
- Climate control
Additional amenities include a wireless phone charger, dual zone auto air conditioning, a heated steering wheel, electronically adjustable front seats, and a 360-degree panoramic camera to assist with parking.
C10 Advanced Safety Features
Not only does the Leapmotor C10 have seven (7) airbags, but it also comes with Leapmotor's Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) - otherwise called "Leap Pilot".
The system offers a range of functionalities that help to enhance overall driving safety, including Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Centering Control (LCC), and Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB).

By and large, the Leapmotor C10 attempts to deliver a smooth balance of performance, technology, and a value for money price tag.
We think it should appeal to UK motorists who are looking for one of the modern electric SUVs that have standout features and reliable range.
