The Tahoe is not the largest three-row ute in Chevy's repertoire - that award goes to the Suburban.

2022 Tahoe Engine Power and Performance
Despite being powered by a V-8 for its entirety, a diesel 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine joins Chevy Tahoe's standard 355-hp 5.3-liter and 420-hp 6.2-liter blocks.
Furthermore, buying any of the Tahoe models means it will be equipped with a 10-speed automatic transmission - with a choice of rear or all-wheel drive.
The focus of our testing was the Tahoe Z71 version boasting its off-road capabilities. The standard V-8 (with a two-speed transfer case) has traditional 4-wheel drive and twenty-inch wheels with all-terrain tires.
The bottom line is this:
Acceleration was adequate and the brake pedal was firm. The road tester was most impressed by the quiet cabin - even when driving at highway speeds.
Also, the air springs and adaptive dampers featured in the Z71 package allow for manual or automatic adjustment of the ride height.
Interior Trim and Cargo Space
One of the most striking features in this generation of Tahoe is its extra large interior. One of our earlier Chevrolet Tahoe UK car reviews revealed a cramped third row.
The newer model adds close to ten (10) inches of legroom. Moreover, the second-row seats slide both forward and back, providing extra flexibility.
As a result, it wasn't difficult to sit two adults in the far back compartment - without any significant discomfort.
The interior packaging, and its independent rear suspension, creates a load that seems to be lower and flatter.
In fact, the Tahoe's cargo area offers 123 cubic feet of luggage space after folding the second and third row.
Chevrolet decided to go with a push-button-and-slider setup - replacing the old column shifter. But, we had some minor issues with the motorised, retractable centre-console lid. The problem wasn't made easier since the roof contains the housing for the control switch.
Infotainment Features and Safety
The 2022 Tahoe contains a noteworthy increase in infotainment and connectivity features that are robust and help to ensure relaxed driving conditions.
To qualify that statement, the 10.2-inch touchscreen appears in all variants. The new infotainment devices have Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, as well as a Wi-Fi hotspot feature.
