British Off Road Driving Association

BORDA stands for the British Off Road Driving Association. It is the only professional association dedicated to off roading at authorized venues around the United Kingdom.

BORDA Quality Assurance

The British Off Road Driving Association has industry leading codes of practice.

They have rigorous accreditation programmes for sites, supervisors and trainers. Thus, BORDA has a reputation for very high standards.

You can contact a BORDA compliance officer if you feel these high standards have not been met. The same applies if you want to comment on the level of service you received from a BORDA official or member.

Their authorization gets issued by the International Organisation of Professional Drivers (IOPD). They are also Empowered by Statute 1371 of the Road traffic Act 1992 and authorized by the Secretary of State for the Regulation of Off-Highway Auto and Motorized Events.

BORDA Membership

BORDA membership is open to off-road driving centres that offer non-competitive recreational and training events at authorised venues. These venues are 'off the highway'. Using public highways is outside the scope of BORDA Codes of Practice.
